Flavours

A Bonnie Wee Cake make cakes that taste as good as they look. All of our wedding cakes are baked to order from the finest ingredients and are completely handmade and finished.  We bake from scratch using tried and tested recipes. 

What’s in our cakes is as important as the final look. We use local eggs and milk, Scottish butter, local seasonal fruits whenever possible and we make our own delicious zingy lemon curd and jams when time allows. We use Madagascan vanilla, and make our chocolate ganache using Callebaut Belgian chocolate to ensure your cake tastes fantastic. 

We never use any wholesale mixes, pre-made cakes, dried egg, catering fats or low quality chocolate. Please ask to see a copy of our flavour list.

 

Dietary Requirements

We have a comprehensive allergen policy at A Bonnie Wee Cake.  Please ask if you need advice.  Below is some information on the most common allergens.  

Nuts - We have many flavours of cake which do not contain nuts and we can adjust recipes which do, to be nut free. 

Gluten – We can offer cakes which are made using non gluten containing ingredients. 

Dairy - we can offer cakes which are made using lactose free ingredients.

Egg – we can offer cakes which do not contain eggs

This naked wedding cake was prepared to cater for a bride who had to follow a diet for fructose malabsorption.  Please feel free to be in touch if you have a special dietary requirement – we will do our best to cater for you.
